He
was a well loved coach and Athletic Director for Hudson for years.
The sports teams have the Ray Hyser award in his honor. He didn't
take crap from any of us smart-alecks. He could pick up two of
us, one in each hand, at one time. Let's hear it for "Hyse"
one more time! He was da man!

"Buck,"
82, of Hudson, beloved husband of Geraldine (nee King) Hyser;
loving father of Raymond M. "Skip" (Pam) Hyser Jr., Heidi (Bernd)
Zirkl, and Keith B. Hyser; dear grandfather of Kelsey, Raymond
M. III and Christopher Hyser, and Alexander and Mackenzie Zirkl;
brother of the late Christopher, James, Howard, and Paul Hyser;
dear son of the late Christopher and Jesse (nee Campbell) Hyser,
died Monday, Oct. 10, 2005. Mr. Hyser served his country in the
U.S. Army during World War II in the European Theater. Mr. Hyser
received his B.S. degree in 1950 from Kent State University and
his M.S. degree in 1972 from the University of Akron. He was a
teacher and athletic director at the Hudson High School for 32
years. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made
to the Ray Hyser Scholarship Fund, c/o the Hudson City Schools
Endowment Fund. NO VISITATION. A memorial service will be held
Friday, Oct. 14, 2005, at 11 a.m., at First Congregational Church
of Hudson, 47 Aurora St., Hudson, Ohio. Arrangements by Johnson-Romito,
a Golden Rule Funeral Home, 19 E. Main St. (on the square) Hudson,
Ohio (330- 650-4181). There was a private family burial at Draper
Cemetery.
