Wow, what a fantastic website you all put together. I was wondering
about an old friend the other day and for the heck of it, I Googled
him. "Skip" Piotter. I was saddened to learn of his
passing; he was a great guy - we laughed together all the time....in
Mrs. Cone's class in FIRST grade. What happened to Skip? I would
like to know.
I can help you fill in a blank: I am slot 1 in 3rd row, immediately
to Mrs. Cone's left (perhaps explaining the sour look on my face!)
My family lived on Danbury Lane in a subdivision a mile or two
outside of town. I remember a family w/the last name of Lucy (Philip
Lucy was more or less my age) up the street and a family named
Mooney down the street. I also remember a cute little blonde girl
named Ann who lived in that neighborhood, I had a crush on her.
I do not know if that is the same Ann or not, sitting in the first
row of the Cone class picture.
I was also in school there in 2nd grade, had Mrs. Corlett. Too
bad nobody had her class picture to post as you did the other
ones.
After 2nd grade we moved to Oklahoma, then to Miami, then to NJ
and I ended up at Purdue for college. Currently live in a suburb
of Indianapolis and have a freshman daughter at the University
of Dayton on a volleyball scholarship.
Too much moving around over the years had its plusses and minuses,
one minus being I really have no attachment to my high school.
Surfing your site was fun, I just wish I had recognized names!
I even have the report cards from the two years I went to school
there. Also remember the charming little public library and attending
First (or "The"?) Congregational Church. Last saw Hudson
in the late 80's or early 90's, still a picturesque place.
From afar, thanks for the fun, and again, if somebody could tell
me what happened to Skip I would appreciate it. It really saddened
me.
Looks like it was a fantastic reunion; I will need to reconcile
the guest list with my class photo to see if any of Ruthadena
Cone's students were there!
Please acknowledge receipt, if possible.
Best regards,
